Our People Make Us Who We Are

Everyone at SecondNature has been a senior executive in the corporate world. We are not career trainers or actors. Our business and our commercial backgrounds mean we all understand intimately the situations our clients face and can provide perspective and real-life professional advice that makes a genuine difference.

We also have an unwavering passion for helping people become the presenters they want to be and in doing so helping them to reach their professional potential.

Belinda is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of SecondNature International. With a determination to drive a paradigm shift in the delivery of presentation skills training both In-Person and Online, she is a strong advocate of a more personal and sustainable presentation skills training methodology. Belinda believes that people don’t have to change who they are to be the presenter they want to be. So she developed a coaching approach that harnesses people’s unique personality to build their own authentic presentation style and personal brand.

Belinda is an extremely enthusiastic, vibrant and highly engaging trainer and coach with professional development credentials spanning more than 15 years. She has a great wealth of experience and works with people ranging from C-suite executives to high-potential graduates in a huge variety of industries from, for example, FMCG to pharmaceutical, ITC to retail, media to financial and construction to government.

Belinda works with business people across the world (coaching people in over 35 countries in the last year, including in the US, India, China, Singapore, the UK, as well as here in Australia). She has helped transform the business presentation skills of thousands of our client’s people in an A-Z of organisations including Alinta Energy, AMP, APRA, the ASX, Brookfield, CocaCola, Cushman & Wakefield, MARS Inc, Multiplex, NSW Police, Reserve Bank of Australia and Roche – to name but a few.

Along with developing SecondNature’s revolutionary methodologies Belinda is acknowledged as providing particularly strong counsel, highly insightful direct feedback, and supportive advice to help executives transform their presence, authority, impact and persuasiveness as presenters.

Belinda was General Manager of a communications skills coaching consultancy for 5 years prior to launching SecondNature, and originally started her career in advertising, working for the iconoclastic Saatchi & Saatchi in London and then Sydney.

Belinda has a Management Sciences (BSc) Honours degree from the University of Manchester, UK; is DISC and MBTI accredited and holds a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.

We asked Belinda to share something non-work related to reveal a bit about what makes her tick; this is what she said:

“I seem to have assumed my dad’s habit of volunteering! I was a Team Leader in the State Emergency Service (Australia) for 8 years, and in the UK I was the project champion for our community 1000Mbps fibre-to-the-home broadband. But ‘the one that got away’ was to be a volunteer for a ‘summer’ season at Base A, Port Lockroy, Antarctica, after visiting there some years ago (unfortunately, I think I would now probably be a bit too old…).”
